CHINA BALL STARS

What an amazing weekend for our Chinese pool stars. The atmosphere was electric, and the standard nothing short of exceptional. 15 Adults and 5 juniors made up the 4 groups who contested for the coveted 1st prize of R7000. Ryan “Milky” was the only player to progress from the groups stage undefeated, and we knew he would be a serious contender. The Panther also progressed from his group in superb fashion, with his only loss at the hands of Maboy in a penalty shootout. Our newest Cape Townian, Banks Solomons really impressed in the group of “death” with superb wins over Ashraaf Haribhai and Anwar Arnold. Llewellyn had a tough route to the final beating Gakkie and tournament favorite Milky to book his place in the final. Milky was impressive throughout the tournament, but fell short against a determined Llewellyn in the semis. In the end, there could only be 1 winner, and Maboy showed great composure and the will to win, by beating the Black Panther for the second time in the tournament. Well done to all the winners
